PROJECT OVERVIEW
Renovation of the food service and cafeteria area of the Stark Student Center, including demolition and replacement of finishes, construction of new serving and cafeteria seating areas, replacement of lighting and water heaters. Renovated space features Clifftop Eats, the on-campus cafeteria for students with meal plans, and Briar Grill, designed to serve burgers, wings, fried foods, and other items to students during late night study sessions. Dining area split into two different levels of seating with space for meal times, studying, and a game area. Multiple serving stations within Clifftop Eats serving stations for salad bar, hot bar, pizza, omelet bar, and grill.
The goal for the university was to not only improve the food and the variety for the students, but to also create an area where they could enjoy their meal, study, or just hang out and watch TV.
Students, faculty, and staff access had to be maintained during the project while the serving area was completely renovated. The kitchen had to remain in service during construction.
